I am a disabled veteran, parent, former CPS student, and passionate community activist with a lifelong commitment to advocacy and service. As a current Senior status student at both Governors State University and Chicago State University, I am dedicated to furthering my education while simultaneously raising my four daughters, two of whom have special needs. A Chicago native, I take pride in my involvement with Tau Beta Sigma National Honorary Band Sorority, Inc., and my recent role as President of the Senate for Model Illinois Government representing Governors State University. With a global perspective cultivated through my study abroad experiences, I aspire to one day represent the United States as a Diplomat, preferably in a French-speaking country. As a survivor of domestic violence and sexual abuse, and a neurodivergent learner myself, I am committed to advocating for marginalized communities and amplifying their voices.
